Need your wiener schnitzel fix?
Look no further than Old Town Oktoberfest, Mid-Michigan's only German style event happening October 9 and 10. Now in its fourth year, Old Town Oktoberfest features live polka music, dancing, authentic German food and plenty of beer and cider. Admission ranges from $13 in advance for a day to $25 for a weekend pass and includes three food and drink tickets and a 12-ounce souvenir beer mug. Oktoberfest runs Friday, 6 to 11 p.m. and Saturday, 2 to 10 p.m.; children 12 and under get in free and are welcome on Saturday from 2 to 6 p.m. And because this event is a fundraiser for the Old Town Commercial Association, you can feel better about yourself as you head towards the tent for one more apple strudel.
