On Saturday, Nov. 7 the Lansing Symphony Orchestra will perform MasterWorks 2: Into the Heavens at 8 p.m. in the Wharton Center.Timothy Muffitt will conduct the symphony, the Michigan State University Choral Union, Chorale and State Singers along with soprano Nancy Allen Lundy. They'll be performing Gustav Holst's Opus 32, The Planets as well as Poulenic's Gloria.
The Lansing Symphony Orchestra performs 6 MasterWorks concerts a year as well as playing Chamber, Pops, Big Band and Family series.
